"these "druggies" make up literally 90% of my school."-
WOW that's a whole lot.
"Are all schools this bad?"-
i am 17 years old, in school, and i dont know a single person in my life who has ever taken drugs. but then, i might be the privileged few sheltered from such vices.
"Is planet Earth doomed to be ruled by drunk, stoned out idiots?"-
maybe; unless the non-drunk non-stoned out idiots do something about it though i would think it will be very difficult seeing as they have a narrower scope of means to do the world good (im assuming the stonedout drunkards have no care for morality, other people's wellbeing... and the such)
what are you doing about it?

I'd say drug use depends on the locale.
My observations are that young people today are much more superficially bright and conversant than in years past, due to the Internet and college and career expectations. Also far more self-assured and confident, if not dangerously so. I wouldn't call it a thorough, deep kind of intelligence, though. Very short attention spans.
The culture's norms, I think, hit the gutter 'round about the 2000, with almost nonstop emphasis, since, on sexuality and superficial things. I've found a disturbing change in female behavior, especially, concerning these things. As for young men, they're being outshone in most areas by women, and the modern definition of manhood desperately needs honing.

I am almost 17 and I hate how the youth around us is falling apart. I am not by any means saying I have never made a bad choice but I have learned from them and I realize there is more to life than drugs. I have remained a virgin through all of my experiences with drugs and I hold that dear to myself. Most of todays youth is losing or forgetting about morales and personal values. The children are not the ones who hold all the blame, most of it has to do with the way their raised and the people who have raised them. Some children are not given good chances to become great people. From way young to now many children suffer from neglect, and this causes a lot of teenagers to act out. Not just physical neglect but the neglect that parents cause by not talking to their children about such issues. Having a parent who cares and who really puts forth an effort can help a child become someone amazing. Not always, but it's worth a shot. My highschool is filled with pregnant cheerleaders and lots of young drug addicts. We even have teachers who have drug problems, go figure. This world needs a lift.

NO! not you, not even the youth around you are getting more stupid each day! The youth around you grew up in the environment where the trend dictate their destiny. They are not stupied, you're just gifted enough to realize that such trend is not appropriate in order for you to live a descent life. The challenge is for you to influence them or just get out of their way. sometimes those youth are bound to that situation because they don't have the choice. They just want to survive this world and this is their means. Pity them rather than condemning them. You have the choice my friend. Be like them or stand for what you think is right! It's upto you, hope your schools druggies will not end up 91%, you adding up the 1%. take care and God bless!

They are not any different. The difference is how they are raised. Parents now often think it is the responsibility of the school to teach their kids morals and ethics. So, surprise they have none. Luckily they don't generally become successful and run the show.
It will get better. But if you want people to like you you need to get a positive attitude. When someone asks you how your doing, tell them outstanding even if your having a shitty day. People don't want to be around downers.

This problem has existed all the time. Even in the 50s and 60s, we had youth drug problems.

top, utilising this historic e mail, yet... properly, it has some thing to do with how they're raised. they ought to benefit at an before age what's ideal and incorrect, and in reality saved faraway from distinctive stuff. i actual grew up with my mum and dad telling me all this and that, and after a lengthy time period, i got here upon my personal top and incorrect. yet another issue is the idiots who say some thing, and the stupids who keep it going. human beings bypass with the flow, and it truly is a waste of time, money, and maximum of all, mind cells. So bah. human beings ought to concentration a lot less on even as the subsequent , and better on what's ideal and incorrect? it truly is better complicated than all that, in spite of the indisputable fact that it doesn't all slot in a unmarried placed up. So. note them for your self, see what you imagine. ~Leowyn Havaru, quiet observer

Yes, youth is getting stupider.
I think the problem is that young people have too many rights these days. Parents cant discipline their own child without children's services jumping on their backs.

NO!!!! the youth of today are just exposed to negative aspects of life and they are immature to understand things. some are just curious about to do things and wasn't able to think if it is good for them or not.
the youth of today are just to sophisticated to try and discover things, not just like the past generations where free will is not that issue.
the youth of today can still be the best only if they decipher what's their hearts trully dictates.
