Well, hide and stare at what he/she was doing. I'll go straight to the phone if he/she was stealing or doing something bad.

If the phone wasn't near to me, run to the door and go to a neighbor's home and ask for help. I will probably do that. Cause if I go near that person, he/she might have a gun or knife. So I'd better do this thing.

A new born child coming home for the first time, is also a stranger when we see it for the first time, at home.
Treat this stranger too as one . There is an old saying "Everybody is a gentleman until he proves otherwise"... (includes ladies too !)

If my hubby was with me, I'd let him go in first. If he wasnt there, I'd let my german shepherd in the house for a little while. Either way, the stranger would leave in a hurry. Then I'd phone the cops with a full description.

It depends on the circumstances! If I wake up in the middle of the night and see someone in my house, I will probably shoot them without hesitation! Then I would ask their name and what they are doing there! Shoot first, ask questions later!

I think I would try my hardest to get my hands on something to knock them out. Then after they wake up find out what they want. I have worked really hard for what I have and don't want anyone in my house stealing it. If they just need a place to live its ok they are welcome here but not if they are here to take my things.

well considering my dogs, if i found a stranger in my house he would be dead so i would simply call the cops to pick him up and take him to the morgue.
