first of all where r u staying? if ur living in mumbai...dont goto franklinn for courses, i think they jus loot u. u can do a diploma course, which is abt 9 months or so. or u can do a crash course too.tat is abt 2 months. after tat u havto do a course for the systems travel agents and airlines use for gettin the data. tat system is called "Galilio" ..other is "Amadius"..but i think few airlines and travle agents use tat, like Qantas airways does--Austrailian airline.so u can better do Galilio systems which is more widely used. i have done the crash course n completed it last month but abroad, where im residing. i will b doing galilio end of this month...so. diploma wud b a little expensive, if ur ok wz it u can go ahead. in mumbai its a little diffcult gettin into travel cuz of competition like in other fields, probably ul havto work wzout salary for 4-5 months. it all depends how the company or the travel agency is. u get me? also...earlier manual ticket were issued, then automated ticket r issued which is still there...but things r changing and IATA has introduced eticketing, which is only a single sheet of paper wz all the info in it just like the normal ticket carries, n tis single sheet of paper is called eticket. but dont worry, india has still some more years to jump onto eticketing. it is a very intersting field, u can go ahead wz it. if u have the will u can get thru! after u have done wz ur courses i suggest u try jobs in airlines first..anyways, anywhere u try for ul b working as a trainee..
hope tis ws enuff info :-)..best of luck!!
