OK.... This may be what you are looking for or not. The 1st letter "V" means the engine was built in Flint MI. The "05" means the engine was built in the month of May. The "10" means the 10th day of May. Now here is the tough part. The last 3 letters "CKZ denotes a Corvette motor 350 CI engine. But, which one? CKZ was used in the 1972 LT1 engine w/ 255HP, also used in 1973 L48 motor with 190HP, also used in 1974 w/ 195HP and also used again in 1977 L motor w/180HP. A bit confusing, but you will need a little more research to find the exact year. Try, if the heads are original, to extract the serial numbers from the heads.

I do not know the codes but you can go to any Chevy dealer and they have a book of every numbr. They can tell you all about that engine.
