Hmm....maybe most Americans in general don't like Bush. Personally, I think I only know two (maybe 3) people who actually like him and I live in a state that Bush *supposedly* won in both elections.
or maybe the majority of people who use the Internet don't like Bush.
The Bush Administation seems determined to destroy the United States from within through corruption, misinformation and propaganda campaigns, attacking the constitution, turning Americans against americans in order to divide and conquer the country politically, and bankrupting the nation. And they do all of this while operating a war designed to profit a few corporations and increase their political power. The propagandists then try to smear anyone who tries to defend the nation by saying that they are unpatriotic, which is the greatest insult possible.

It is an American tradition to hate the President. When Clinton was President the media was full of Clinton hatred and people at water-coolers swapped Clinton 'jokes'. The President typically gets blamed for everything from dry summers to cold, snowy winters to oil prices to inflation to unemployment and so on. There are always alot of things going wrong, but it seems like more these days.
Speaking just for myself, any hostility I have towards him is based on two things a) he lies to me and every other American, and has since at least 1999, and b) his policies are bad for the country. I have two university degrees and can do research, so I often know when politicians are lying to me. The internets have made research that much easier.

Because he and his administration are a bunch of arrogant, idealogues who have made many parts of the world hate Americans due to their policies. They patently lie to us and withold the truth about what is really going on in Iraq and they retaliate against people who speak out.
Did you know that when the story came out about the US military not providing enough armor on vehicles used by US solidiers so that the soldiers themselves were collecting any scraps of metal and covering their vehicles the US military was so embarrassed that they retaliated against the soldiers by court-martialing them? This is directly because Bush and his administration want to keep up the pretense of this being a "successful war" and show how we're "winning" and how much we support our troops with the latest and greatest equipment. The truth is that many of these soldiers are NOT equipped with what they need which is why many organizations and parents of soldiers were gathering equipment and sending "care packages" over to their sons and daughters.
Did you know that whenever Bush or his cronies visit Iraq or Afghanistan and they are shown with a bunch of waving and smiling soldiers that those soldiers are interviewed and screened and told how to act and behave on camera? Only those soldiers who say they agree with Bush's policies are allowed in the room or area where Rumsfeld or any of the administration is filmed.
Did you know that Senator Joseph Biden of the US Foreign Relations Committee has made several trips to Iraq and each time the generals take him aside and tell him privately what a mess it is over there?
Do you know that under Bush we stand to lose many of our civil liberties and that the government can wire-tap and listen to your phone conversations at will, check out what books you may be reading from the library and God knows what else?
I hesitate to even answer this question on this board for fear that someone in our government will find a way to persecute me for having an opinion.
That is why so many people on this site hate Bush. He has turned America into a country that is no longer respected abroad with his policies, helped to erode our civil liberties and in my opinion has only served to make us even more likely to suffer terrorist attacks.

Probably because he is not as good of a liar as some of our past presidents were, and I guess a lot of us have figured out that any politician is only in it for the MONEY, having witnessed endless revelations about our noble leaders, who are some of the most corrupt people on earth. When someone gets unbelievably rich, the next thing they want is power over the world to protect their income. They do not care about our country or us, only about how to manipulate things for their own gains, the worst of which is sending young men and women to fight wars and die, the only reason for such wars is profit to themselves, or oil companies, etc., not to protect our country from being invaded by terrorists. If they cared about that, they could easily block the borders and not let any more people in until they knew who these people are, and also it IS possible to check the identity of most people in the country, and to find the ones who are no good, and get them out of here. I love this country, just like most Americans do, but if only the super-rich can run for office, how can we help but think their only priority is protecting their wealth and that of other super-rich people who helped get them elected? They DO NOT want the rich people's boat to be rocked. The only thing they forgot in their quest for power is that there is a Judgment Day. They could have used their office to help this country, but it is a shabby, nearly bankrupt, corrupt, unhappy shadow of its former glory, and it was NOT put that way by United States citizens, who love our country, but by just a few generations of politicians, both Republican or Democrat. My opinion, anyway.

Most Americans, on this site or otherwise, don't hate President Bush.
It's only the looney-left that hate him, and that's because in him, they see their own failure.
