now i see that there are a lot of closet racists-cowardly people who will only "share" their disguting opinions online, where nobody can kick there asses!!!

either that ,or there are a lot of fake people on here just posting racist comments for kicks!!!

Hell yeah, go to any state in the midwest or south and racism is rampant. Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Tennesee, Kentucky, S. Carolina, N. Carolina, W. Virginia, Kansas, Iowa, Mississippi, Nebraska...Just visit any of these states or any small town in the majority of the rest of the country. Racism is alive and well.
The saddest part is that the racism is often deserved. I always thought that any kind of racism was wrong until I moved out of the northwest. Now that I have experienced first hand living in the south, I understand why there is so much racism. If thousands of people like that lived in my home town, I would probably be racist too.

Until you've lived in those areas for a few years and had to live with the people in those communities, you shouldn't talk bad about people who are racist.

Yes the haters abound. The targets have shifted a bit, not so concentrated on blacks or Jews but they are still there in the sights, concentrated more on Mexicans at the moment and definitely on Muslims as a general class not distinguished by nationality. They are wrapping up in the flag more and claiming "patriotism" as cover for their bigotry. USA is coming to resemble the historic 1930's in Germany with the rise of the National Socialists and the targeting of the Romanian Gypsy migrant labour force, the only thing missing at this point is a positive eugenics movement

30-40 years ago it was more then a problem. Now a days it is a problem. We all look at each race differently as our own and we make choices all the time based on color of skin etc.. etc.... That's being racist believe it or not but I know what you mean and I don't think it is as bad anymore. I often feel racist when I know I am not because I will look at a black person and then they will look at me.

I don't know when I should look away. Too soon or too late and they can think I am Racist and that's the last thing I want people to think of me.

I think a lot of people just post racist comments to get attention. Racism is still a problem, but not nearly as big a problem as it was 30-40 years ago. We've come a long way, but we still have a long way to go.

I believe the media, religious organizations and the governments are to blame for the increase in racism in the world. That and a lack of education on just human beings instead of pushing a flag, sports team or 'my country is better than yours' attitude. The first 'racists' were the Vikings that raped and pillaged every village they came accross just because they thought they were bigger, stronger and had bigger boats. It's a shame countries with armies still have that Viking attitude!

Wait a second honey, You forgot Katrina and FEMA, Black people being called refugies(correct term evacuies(haha public school education i can't spell)? Dear it aint only online it is still in our government still everywhere. Racism will never end. Why? Cuz somebody's got to be on top, unless you want a communist country. oh no one wants to say that word.

Sickboy i have to give it to you that crap cuz we were not told to leave till saturday then it came on Monday morning which is two days. I had a car and it was crowed i just made it out. it was a plot to kill the blacks of the city, and those that left they wanted them to be in other cities spread around the country away from thier families like in slave times. FEMA kills Black folks FYI I ain't black and I still say it

I agree with you. For a while I was under the impression that racism was a thing of the pass until I ran into this one old lady who started spitting racist bad mouth to me for no reason. As I got into high school, I fount out a lot of kids parents aren't too cool with there kids dating outside there race. I think it's all a load of crap. I say let them be with who they want to be with. The important thing is that there happy.

Yes and no. Years ago I attended the fair where the bathrooms and drinking fountains were labeled "Whites Only". Now racism seems to go both ways. There is not as much subjection by races, but there is more hate by all.

Overt racism is not as common, but racism still exists on another level. People are still judged on race and stereotypes still exist in the media and in everyday life.

Plus as you have said places like the internet allow all people to say what every they want with little chance of negative consequences.
