Cool off your shower - hot water makes the skin even drier. Also, drink lots of water to stay hydrated (I'm in TX so I'm familiar with blasting hot days). One more thing - moisturize!! Use something that contains little to no alcohol ingredients - alcohol dries out the skin too.

get a cleanser with the little beads in it. Those help scrub away the dry skin without irritating or making the issue worse. Also always buy a cleanser and moisturizer that is for dry skin. Stay away from the cleanser that have the hard facial scrubs in it, it will ony add to your skin problems and they are too harsh on the skin. Always use one with the soft microbeads you will have much better results. I use Anew retroactive 2-1 cleanser by Avon. I love it and i dont use anything else.

Most water is treated with chlorine and flouride,
especially tap water...it is soo bad for you. Try to take
cooler and shorter showers. Also how much water do
you drink ( bottled water )? You should be drinking
at least half your wieght in ounces...your wieght
diveded in two- the amount of ounces of water you
should be drinking.
Also try fresh coconut oil. Garden of Life and Spectra
make coconut oil. Any health food store will carry it.
As for avoiding it do these things.
Try to stay away from swimming pools the chlorine
absorbs into your body!
Use coconut oil on your skin
Start supplementing with Cod liver oil and cold pressed
extravirgin olive oil-thats right take a shot of each.
Start doing these and you should have healthier
skin.

Water damages skin.
Warm water damages it more than cold water.
Constant showers, or any constant contact with water will damage your skin.
Get a good moisturizer and apply it after you shower.

cool down your shower. Hot or warm water will rob your skin of its natural oils.
shower only when necessary.
try a microdermabrasion kit like Loreal or Olay- they really work well.
moisturize and get one with sunscreen for daytime. I love the olay regenerist products. They work well and are not heavy.
