I heard that nutri sweet kills ants. I have not tried it, but I use about 4 different types of ant poisons (grant's ant stakes and others). I rotate them around and the ants carry the poison to their colony and the queen ant is killed.

They are supposed to hate cinnamon. Theoretically, if you find where they are coming in and sprinkle cinnamon, they will go away. FYI, I use cinnamon air freshener in my kitchen, and I don't get ants. The have vanilla in the bathroom and I have ants trying to come in.

You can also create a mix of water with 3 tablespoons of dish soap in a small spray bottle. It will kill any bugs you find.
