ok i missed like the last season or two of 7th heaven which made me sad. i saw the finale tonight and kevin was working for the police like last time i remember. is he staying home to be with savannah? doesn't it seem like the mom is like crazy now? she seems like she is depressed to me but then again i missed a lot.

If I remember correctly, he decided to stay at home after he was shot at. He decided that he would rather be home for his wife and daughter than to get killed on the job. At least, that's how I remember it.
Annie (the mom) isn't crazy. Well, maybe she is, but I always found it endearing. Most of the season was about her being hopped up about Simon marrying Rose, and then in the end, it was okay.
If you meant 'the mom' as in Lucy, she always has been crazy. :)
And, by the way, I always liked the show. Especially when the kids started turning into hellions like the rest of us! :)

Because Lucy is a Preacher and also is i think running some kind of home for unwed mothers so Kevin is staying home with the kids.

Kevin got shot at work one day because he wasn't paying attention because he was too busy thinking about his family. so he decided it would be best to stay at home with Savannah and let Lucy go to work

I think Kevin is a stay at home Dad because he had a scarry run in with a shoot out and it freaked him out. But I havn't seen it in a while. Lucy has always seemed crazy to me.
