It really depends on the type of snake. My Cal king has a pure black tongue, my eastern garters have a 2-tone black tips with red body, my corns have a 2-tone reddish brown & black, so it really does vary.

some are pink and some are black, or dark blue.those are the only colors i've encountered in snake tounges.

i don't used do to open any snakes mouth to take a look at its tounge

well it depens on the snkae some are black or dark blue while others a light purple or pink
