I jst read an article on this and right now the oil is at what $75.50, the guy states that it will definitely reach $100 before anything will ever change. It will increase over the next 15 years and then finally, slowly go back down....if I find the article I will put it on here. I got it off DrudgeReport.com, you might be able to get it in the archives

The price of gas would not go down any sooner. With all the things going around esp in the middle east and depleting petroluem, unless and until something significant happen, i.e new found large petroluem deposits or there is a new found substitution, will the price of gas be going down. It all going back to basic, demand and supply.

Take an oklahoma credit card with you on your travels as the price is going to keep going higher, higher, higher. The government doesn't really care at this time as the economy is still somewhat stable and they are collecting tax dollars hand over fist. Whe the economy falters and we head down into a depression the government talking heads will quickly blame everybody else for our problems and go on a fact finding mission to someplace where there are topless beaches.
