Yes, it is the biggest shame. If the rich paid their percentage
of tax, maybe ours wouldn't keep going up.
The biggest problem is that employers don't give raises with
the cost of living, while these wealthy politicans vote
themselves a raise on a regular basis.
And who pays their salaries- we do.
It's disgraceful.

It makes the poor feel better.
A study was done where people were given an unequal amount of 'dollars' in a group. They were told that they could burn two of their 'dollars' in order to burn one of the rich person's dollars. Those with less money were willing to burn as much of their money as it took to burn the money of those with more money.
In the end, everyone ends up with less.

there's more money that can go into social problems or welfare for the poor that the rich would then fund through increased taxes.

It doesn't help you if your poor. Your not getting any money from it. Some would say that the extra money collected in taxes would help the poor by increasing govt. sudsidies but we all know who really gets that money.

the rich get richer and the poor get poorer, its like if your born with money then your set for life, If your born poor your gonna stay that way, no matter how hard you try, things just get worse and worse.

It's extra money that gets placed into special programs that help inner city urban development, or at least that's what the politician wants you to think while he is skimming funds.
