Well, in the IT field, it is important that we keep Internet Banking available for clients that want to check their accounts nightly during non-buiness hours, transfer monies and make adjustments to thier funds that will be picked up the next business day. I work for a bank but not as a cashier.. I am on an overnight shift that allows for this as well as I watch various applications that help monitor the product availabilty to people. Yes it would be nice to have everyone sleep at night, but I do know that I can get more done during the evening shift then during a day one as I don't have so many people interupting me. Plus traffic is sooo much better to travel in during rush-hour by going the opposite way!

Economy is the part of a nation..We can not take rest. We have to work round the clock in shifts. This ensures maximum human productivity. A machine does not differentiate time. The man operating the machine should not.

to keep up with the demand for their products. also, if a place is open 24 hours, 3 - 4 times the amount of people can be employed. That is a good thing. some places NEED to be open 24/7 or the rest of the area would shut down.

I dunno, I've got to admit... it's very convenient sometimes to go to a 7-11 in the middle of the night to get a carton of milk when I realize I'm all out or something. I work best at night, so I tend to be up late a lot... and as such, I wish there were MORE 24/7 places open!

My dream come true would be a 24/7 Starbucks. :-P
