i love my best friend, she is the best person i have ever met!!but i have a problem with some of the things she does and says
1.she lets her husband speak/treat her like crap-he wont let her get a job ,even though she wants to,he wont let her go back to school,he wont let her leave the house during the day.
2.she refuses to take her kids to the park right down the street from there house, she makes her 5 year old stay inside all day, wont even let him go in there backyard, they live in an extremely nice neighborhood
3.she always asks me if i think her daughter is beautiful, and instead of being honest i say she is cute, sweet or smart, then she gets offended.
4.she claims that everyone is evil-at the grocery store, park, mall wherever if someone looks at her more than once, they are automatically evil
5.she screams and cusses at her 5 year old ,she tells him to shut up and that she doesnt care about him!
should i say something or leave it?

I don't know how you can say someone who cusses at her 5 year old and tells him she doesn't care about him is the best person you've ever met. If that's the best I won't even ask what's the worst person you've met.

your friend sounds like she is going through alot and she is probably waiting some one to say something.talk to her away from the kids and the husband.
1.as for the husband ,you dont want to come in between someones marriage-i would let her know that the way he treats her bothers you,but other than that stay out of it,unless you think or find out hes been abusive!
2.go with her to the park. also consider a few things-if she thinks everyone is evil, maybe she has a form of agoraphobia or paranoia,or maybe she is just looking for an excuse so she doesnt upset her husband!
3.theres nothing you can do about how a mommy feels about her baby!!it is the most beautiful baby to her, even if you dont agree, just see it that way and you will be able to say the baby is beautiful
4.like i said before she might be suffering from some paranoia!!!
5.there really is no excue for this type of behaviour!!she might be comparing the boy to her husband, but it sounds mostly like she is dealing with some instability.
other than that i dont know what to say!

how long have you known your best friend? do you think you have gone through thick and thin together?
i find that through what you said, your best friend is being ABUSED by her husband, and therefore, she takes it out on her kids.
i find that she is very stressed out with her family life.
1. please talk to her about her husband. everything is relative. To your perspective, it may seem that she is a victim of abuse. try talking to her objectively. talk to her about what she wants out of this marriage, what she wants out of life.
if she wanted to go back to work after the kids have grown up, it is important that she goes back to school.
ask her about whether it is right that her husband does not let her leave the house during the day. ( in oprah, there was a case of husband abuse. the husband locked his wife and kids with a dead bolt for about 5 years.)
if both of you agree that he is abusive, please find a professional counseller before this gets of hand. as a best friend, there are limited things that you can do, unless your best friend agree that there is a problem and agrees to help herself.
2. as for her not letting her kids go to the park down the street, i do hope that it is not her husband that is doing the restricting.
3. i say again that she is extremely stressed and insecure. why would you have to be dishonest to say that her daughter is cute, sweet or smart? if she is your best friend, love her daughter as your own. say that i love her (your best friend's daughter no matter what).
4. please remind her constantly that there are also good people out there. if people stare at her, ask her to smile at them. disarm them with an action that they would not expect. if anything, try to ignore them.
5. everything is linked. usually after marriage, the husband becomes the focus of your world. in this case, i think the problem is with her husband.
please talk to her about it. i hope this helps.

whew! you sure have a lot of complaints about someone that you call a 'best friend'! if 'best friend' means the person you trust and respect the most in life, why not be up front and honest about your thoughts/feelings on everything she's doing that you don't like? IMO, a best friend is the one person who will hear you out and give you honest FRIENDLY feedback.
you should be able to communicate with a 'best friend' on any subject with good will and honesty or they are not a best friend at all, IMO.
maybe she isn't really your 'best friend' but just a friend that you aren't particularly happy with! what does she think about you and your behaviors?

1. Thats a messed up husband!, If he doesnt treat his momma like that , why is he going to do that to his wife!
2. The 5 year old needs to go outside or else she will become lazy and unhealthy.
3. just dont complimate her if it leads to problems
4. Your friend need to go to therapy
5. And again, unhealthy for the kid.
6. I think you should say something before it gets worser, and bring her to therapy if her husband let her.
