Unfortunately, not really. Those with superior talent and skills will find decent work at a decent salary, but with the advent of PhotoShop, Picasa, MySpace, LiveJournal, and cheap-to-free websites, everyone and their 8-year old sister knows how to design multimedia.
Best bet is to work hard until you get an "in" with a good company, building a portfolio as you go along. Always stay fresh on the latest trends in interactive design (get real familiar with Java, Flash, RSS, XML, etc.), and definitely don't be discouraged with low starting salaries.

How good is your portfolio? What internships have you had? If you don't graduate with job offers, you probably need to bone up on your marketing skills...
Oh, and for future reference, do a Google search on salary and your desired job title...it'll give you someplace to start researching who makes what where.
