So, you haven't done it yet? What are you waiting for?
If your traveling in the summer (winter in the US), go to Mar del Plata, which has beautiful beaches and great night life (whether you're young or old) and go all the way down to Patagonia , the closest you'll get to Antarctica. If traveling during winter (summer in the US) you have to go to Bariloche for some nice snow-skiing.
During any season, you have to go to Buenos Aires and enjoy its very European lifestyle. There are good theaters, tango shows, the shopping is great and the exchange if very favorable for most tourists (can't return without buying fine leather goods) and of course, the food! The food is to die for and very cheap. Great beef if you love meat. Great choices if you're vegetarian. Don't miss the grilled Provoletta. A big meal including appetizer, nice steak entree, dessert, wine or beer in a restaurant doesn't go for more than $ 18 per person. Get ready some weeks before you leave and try to loose the pounds you're going to gain down there.
So, don't even think about and go. You won't regret it!

YES!!!!!!!!!!! You should definitely go. I studied abroad for a month and was moving around every couple days so i saw a lot of it. The weather is amazing, the people are so friendly, and its just an awesome country. Salta will always be my favorite place. That city was incredible. It was very historic and had lots of things to do. I even got to go white water rafting at night. But that's only offered one night a month when there's a full moon, so check the calender if you're interested in that. Just go...it's so much fun and i would go back in a second. OH yeah, and if you're into skiing....there's nothing like skiing in the Andes Mts in the middle of July (the seasons are reversed). If you ski you have to hit Las Lenas...great resort.

No, make Argentina visit you. I'm tired of seeing you get bossed around like that, take a stand for yourself, man, you're worth it. Seriously.

YES! You can go skiing in Patagonia, climb the Andes, ride the highest train in the world (train to the clouds in Salta), see whales in Puerto Madryn or the jungle and Iguazu Falls in Misiones.
And your dollars or euros will take you a looooong way. Enjoy!
