The ttop three reasons I have known a woman to cheat are 1. attention. They want the attention they are not getting at home from someone who is willing to give it to them. 2. The grass is greener syndrome - meaning things are getting boring or stressful and they think with someone else it would be more exciting and better so the thrill is instant gratification rather than fixing the real problem. 3. They were cheated on first so they do it to get even and every now and then their is a fourth reason and that is sometimes a woman with sleep with another man to get over the man their with. Sometimes it's simple sometimes it's complicated...really just depends on the woman...and I don't know if you can love someone you fear. Maybe, but fearing them would probably mean you don't trust them and not trusting them might make it difficult to love them.

First off I know it's not just women that cheat. Personally for me, it's a lack of something. If you are not completely satisfied in your relationship, not only sexually, but emotionally, etc. then you tend to start looking for what your relationship is lacking in other people, places, or things. And loving someone you fear is probably not a healthy thing. In order to have a successful relationship you must have trust, communication, and understanding, and you need to be comfortable with that person. Someone you can depend on and lean, not fear.

I cheated once on my bf when I was 17 because he had cheated during our relationship and it was for revenge...but I didn't feel so great afterwards...I hurt him but I didn't feel so great about myself. And I have never cheated on anyone since then. (long time ago)
It's not just needing some...that's a man's reason.
Can you love someone you fear?...I believe so...otherwise we wouldn't have as many battered women / wives as we do. (don't know from experience...just guessing)

when someone cheats, they are trying to fulfill a void. either something is lacking in the relationship or in their life in general. for women, i believe more times than not it's more than just looking for sex. they are looking for security and comfort. they want to be nurtured and feel wanted.
