what is it? rectangle with a square centered in the middle with a smaller rectangle on and above that. The beast is a 68 50 series 327 4 bolt main and the head described is on the right side. Thanks

Sounds like you have the ol powerpack heads from GM. If i remember right, they have the 1.94 valves in them. Good set of heads. By the way, i have them on my Corvette as well

chevy has casting marks on one end and the most desireable and recognizeable are DOUBLE HUMP HEADS or fulie heads try some vintage chevy boards for exact answer but another thing is the 3 digit casting # 041 061 062 are good
