Considering the current affairs of our planet. Would you prefer to elect another political puppet into office or give the planet a little shake shake to change things around?

Truthfully? We need to shake things up a bit... BUT... listen, the president only has a certain amount of power. If we elected a real "go getter" who wanted to change the system, he/she would be met with resistance as Congress would not let this person get anything done. And there would have to be such a resounding grass roots movement that it would get this person elected anyway, and most people are too mainstream. (A case in point, when Jimmy Carter was elected, he was TOO NICE and Christian and tried to do many of the right things and for the most part was an ineffective president). Clinton was a good domestic/economic president because "Slick Willie " knew how to play the system, and Bush has surrounded himself with "Yes " men and women puppets so he gets things done even though the things he does are insane and seemingly counterproductive for this nation he claims to "love". I will vote democrat the next election, but yes, I really think it is time for a BIG change.

I'm not familiar with what a "little shake shake" might refer to, but I'd prefer to elect a president who would promote the interests of all Americans, not just the wealthy xenophobic white ones.

All political parties are special interest groups. Even the most ethical politician has to sell his soul periodically and vote against his heart to follow party lines and not lose his job. It's the nature of politics. Politicians are our employees. We hire them and our taxes pay them. They need to stop acting like they're better than we are and start acting like the hired help they are.

I'm with Rob, I am for less government in my life, except for having a strong military for defending me and you what else is the government good for? all social issues should be worked out on a local level. Period. And oh yeah less taxes is good too. I am a libertarian who usually ends up voting republican.

I like the Dems because they are the people's party. But I think we need to replace them with a raft of new guys and get rid of all the gut rich ribbon cutters by voting them out of office.

All three are bad choices.

Why don't we have say 5 choices instead of two? I feel that the two ultimately hold the power continuously, exchanging it from time to time. Is that a democracy?
