There is a reason every body and his brother has a AK47 around the world. It’s cheap. The reason it is so forgiving about cleaning is that it’s put together so loosely. The price you pay for this is accurately. Being able to hit the flat side of a barn, with a AK is truly a art. If you are willing to take care of your weapon ( something a professional soldier should always do ) and you are able to hit the mark, the M16 is probably one of the best assault rifle in the world. You don’t need 30 rounds if you hit the mark with the first round. For my money I will take a M16 every time.

Ak-47. But honestly I'd probably go with a different model within the ak series. Like the Ak-101. Those are more common and offer a lot more options than an ak-47, not to mention original ak-47s are incredibly valuable.

AK-47, you don't need to clean it and it will still fire it's more durable it's designed as a machine gun not a rifle like the M-16 and M-4 and its more powerful. Although the M-16 does have some advantages over the AK like better accuracy and it's lighter

In fairness, I've never use an AK-47 but I sure did love my M-16 when I was in the Army. It was zeroed in perfectly for my eyes. It was extremely accurate and lightweight.

ak-47 if you want to shoot out a lot of rounds quickly and at a target not further than 300 meters as they are not very accurate past that. m-16 has better accuracy for a single target up to 550 meters.

That depends, a real Russian Kalashnikov, or one of the many cheap knock-offs that you see most towel heads wielding. the real ones are pretty good, but the fakes suck. but the M-16 is still better. my cousin can hit the head of a silhouette target at 300 yards. try that with an AK

Odd hobby you have. In a war zone, I would opt for the biggest,
meanest, loudest, threatening gun I can get my hands on.
Something preferably attached to an armored tank.
I never did like messing with small stuff.
