what we are trying to do is find out who we are why we are here what is our purpose we seek the world food drugs ,material what we can gain but only to find it dont fill the void still yet so we ask the question u just did but it comes back to u not talking about religon ,but the answer is what should we be achieving or say should allow god to achieve through us the answer is in the bible this world is fading away this is mans kingdom ruled buy satan gods kingdom prevails seek ye first the kingdom of god

I don't think you can separate the two. The meaning to something that God gave you can only be found in religion if it is a common understanding of the meaning you are looking for.
If you look at pleasing God as the religious and foremost answer then the personal answer of loving and pleasing your brothers and sisters falls right in line with that. This makes our individual goals truly individual, remember free will, and possible if everyone else is looking to help.
So please God by simply following the commandments, look to help your brothers and sisters and one by one they will help you realize your meaning.
