persons with mild MR are highly educable. they may be a bit slow, with mood swings, but they can be very dedicated to their work.

equal employment opportunities means that they wont be discriminated because of their disability, but would stand the chance to be considered for the position because of "abilities".

testing may or may not be in sit-down written kind of thing; some are simply not testable that way. but skills-wise, a lot of them can and do excel in their chosen field.

Absolutely. If they can perform the job within the employer's expectations, after adequate training and supports are provided as defined by their special needs, then they cannot be discriminated against.

However, they must be able to perform the job adequately after training and supports are given.

Every person has the right to a decent wage for a days work not matter but instead of using the term retardation couldnt you use the term disabled?

There's qualities about them Im sure a so-called "normal" person could fall in love with, depending on the severity. But I think in all honesty, it would be pretty hard to cope with someone with a disability like that. They dont have the same maturity levels and the same way of dealing with everyday issues usually.

Why not...if they are capable to do the job they have as much right as the rest of us to work and earn money...
