Why do countries and peoples hate the USA?

Yo dot_216, China is the largest polluting country, and about 12 other countries have WMD's also. Get your facts straight before you try to answer an intelligent persons Q&A.

Because its people are free (even free to hate its own government) and successful. The US of A is no doubt the most successful country on the planet. People "hate" someone who has done better.

Because the conception of America is that Americans are greedy, self-righteous, annoying, and snotty.
Consider that Americans eat up the majority of the world's resources, the foreign policy is that of a self-appointed authoritarian (borderline fascism) "Kill in the name of pacifism and freedom"
America has an anomaly of laws that are pointless, contradictory even to it's ideal of "freedom."
America has a lack of unity with it's citizens, loathing and class warfare.
America's public school systems are a joke. Kids in other countries can name America's top six presidents off the top of their heads.
Most importantly, America appoint leaders to speak for their general populous and not care about the honest opinions of said populous. This not only goes towards the president but down to even local and state government officials.
America is a big, mean, confused, and lost puppy. But people get defensive when you point the finger at them.

1. Because the good ol' USofA can literally blow any other country into oblivion without breaking a sweat.
2. Because we don't want insane dictators (N. Korea), insane zealots (Iran), or filthy rich anachronists (bin Laden) to have the power to impose their will on us. See WWI and WWII to review the fate of those who have tried.
3. Because we elect dickheads like DubYa. Fact: the vast majority of us don't give a rat's patoot about politics as long as the American Dream still appears within reach. Only politicians care. We just tolerate them unless they get too out of line. See Richard M. Nixon.

In a nutshell? USA is seen as an imperial state. Other countries see us as mingling in there affairs. We don't see ourselves this way, but that is the perception.
I have talked to foreigners and this is what I hear. We use our military might to 'convince' other nations to do as we wish.

Because we as a whole (americans) are a very arrogant people that constantly think we are better then everyone else and if they don't like it they can go to hell, or we'll invade them.
As soon as we get it through our skulls that our way is not neccesarliy the best way things might start to go better

peoples and country hate the us not because are "going to loose their culture"...by the way American peoples have no culture..what you have is a mix between cultures without identity..., not because they are envy...the hate US because US claim to be "police man of the world" instead to recognize that they do this because of economically reasons( money and resources), because the US citizens are doing nothing about all unjustified wars " in the name of peace"..I think this are the biggest reasons to hate US
