Don't want to sound like a broken record but as several people have already advised myspace.com allows users to create and maintain a webpage of their own. The service has several features including: picture/song/video download space, groups (public nd private), online forums, and the wonderful option to contact, email, and send bulletins to friends that are also online. You also have options to add a blog to your site.

I won't tell you the link to mine but for a little more info: My site I use to contact old friends and also high school alumni since we are in the process of planning our hs reunion. With the site's search feature I was able to search by high school name and year attended or graduated to try to locte people. What I also did was use the option of private groups to allow people on the reunion committee to communicate without the public having access to it. The private feature has several options when you set it up but an example is I set ours up so that a member had to be invited by me (the facilitator) to gain access to the group.
