I belong to a female riding group and just recently a car driver took out 6 female riders because SHE DIDNT SEE US!! She was on a cell phone , killed one female rider that was a mom of three children and seriuosly injured two others. The driver was issued a citation for failure to stop and one other citation for reckless endangerment. This sucks

The politicians don't value our lives, and we don't' use our influence as voters and consumers.
We let the ex-Gov. of SD kill one of us, get a slap on the wrist, and still we pack Sturgis.
The families of the deceased should sue the driver, the phone service provider and the phone manufacturer.

That is so awful!! I'm very sorry about your loss.
I have heard time and again people get off after seriously injuring/killing a motorcyclist.
Just a couple of weeks ago a local rider was killed after some old woman DROVE THE WRONG WAY down a highway exit ramp and hit him head on, and I have heard several (stupid and cruel) people try to somehow pin it on the rider!
I think people now are too callous and don't think of motorcycle riders as fellow humans. Just because we ride doesn't mean we don't have parents like you, kids like you, pay taxes like you, love the sunshine like you! ARGH humanity!

Usually people on two wheels do something stupid that causes accidents. I rear ended a car when some ****** on his hog cut off the cars in front of me and then fell off his bike. After this loozar caused a 5 car pile up he hopped back on his bike and took off with his other bike riding buddies. I've since seen many near misses and everytime it was the bikers fault. They call bike riders "organ donors" for a reason.

check with your local abate , coc or other mro. Due to pressure by mros, some states including mine (Ga.) have enacted enhanced penalty laws for distracted drivers who take out bikes. Now if someone takes out a bike, it can easily be turned into a felony.

i can't begin to relate to the grief your group must be bearing,
clearly bad things happen to good people
i'm sorry that you feel the law did not provide justice,
sometimes living with the memories of our actions can be punishment enough.
