It's a trick question, folks!

Why? Because neither speaks for, or represents, the majority of us Americans.

I don't care who we vote for as long as it's a Moderate. The rest of you should all move to Montana and fight among yourselves.

Right and Left two heads on the same monster. Both out of touch with reality and the voters. I think they are equally dangerous. It's not the values espoused by a fanatic but the fanaticism itself which is what is dangerous.

No, there really is an answer to your question. The far right is fascist. The worst the left would do is rip down the big corporations and nationalize their assets.

Both Gore in 2000 and Kerry in 2004 were moderate Democrats. Bush is the most conservative president of the 20th century, even farther to the right than Ronald Reagan. G. W. Bush's father was a moderate Republican. So was John McCain (though he's tacking to the right now in preparation for a 2008 run).

So if you speak for the moderate majority, I ask you: why didn't you elect a moderate when you had the chance?

Actually it's not a trick question. A group doesn't have to speak for you or represent you to be dangerous. Did Osama bin Laden speak for, or represent anyone on those planes or in those towers on 9/11?

So, to answer your very real question....the far right is far more dangerous, for 2 reasons. First, they have all the power at the moment, so they are the ones doing the damage at the moment. Secondly, the far right TAKES AWAY rights, while the far left GRANTS RIGHTS the right or center don't think should be granted.

Take the following scenario: Two women, one who wants an abortion, one who doesn't.

Under the far right, only one woman gets what she wants. Under the left, they both get what they want. The woman who doesn't want an abortion isn't FORCED to have one. But under the right, the other woman is FORCED to give birth against her will.

Take another example. Two couples, a gay couple who love each other, and a straight couple where the bride hates the husband, but wants to marry him for his money.

Under the right, the couple that hate each other can get married, but the couple who loves each other can't. Under the left, they are both free to do what they want. Straight people aren't FORCED to marry gay people. They aren't losing any rights. They are just seeing their rights being applied equally.

Not sure what you mean about Montana and moderates. Oh well, the far left defines itself as opposed to the government on almost all issues. And the right wing is now actually the government. Think the government is a danger to our country?

The far left is my answer; and the reason I say this is because they are not cast out of the political main stream like the far right is. The Republicans (right) want nothing to do with the hard core libertarian, white supremist (sp) and right wing conspiracy nuts.

Where as the far left actually has a viable party (Green) and helps to tear apart the Democratic party (Dean) and even go after its own members who are moderate (Lieberman).

Good point. I am a liberal, or a left-winger if you will. But even I see some things as going too far! The too-far-right, or the Reich Wing, seem almost borderline Nazi in their control. But the too-far-left tend to go too far. I get the right to abortion and gay marriage, but putting it in our schools is a little bit much. As are some of the PeTA beliefs. All in all, at the current rate of Democrat/Republican degeneration, were all royally screwed.

The inability to rationally solve issues because of a political agenda, wherever you fall on the scale.

I completely agree with you. I wish more people would think
like you. Your so right - I have nothing in common with these
wealthy white guys who wear $2000. suits & have no idea of
whats it's like to live my life.
They've made that obvious.
