Will they remove Italy's title of the world champions?
That's what my friend told me, I told him it was impossible, that they might sanction him...
But honestly I don't know! What can happen?

It's very likely that the departure of Zidane affected the morale of both teams, and possibly affected the penalty shootout to such an extent that Italy were unfairly advantaged.

It could be argued that Materazzi's alleged racial slur was aimed at, and succeeded at, affecting the outcome of the match, but this is impossible to prove. Since it can't be proved, FIFA will not strip Italy of the Cup.

If the allegations are proved, Materazzi may face some sort of FIFA sanction like a temporary match ban and/or a monetary fine.

Well no they wont take about Italy's title since the title resulted from a group effort and was not purely based on the a single player's performance, and since they will not take into consideration the psychological implications of the ejection nothing will happen regarding the title, but Materazzi, if the allegations are true, which they appear to be so, he will be seriously punished. And with Italy's football world being rocked by internal scandals it will be a stain on their victory. In any case, if the allegations are true, it wont make any difference in the results but it will certainly lessen the burden of shame on Zidane's career. But for me, Zidane will always remain a God, regardless of what he's done.

I highly doubt that Materazzi said something racial. There are so many things to say to Zidane, such as, "you suck" "your career sucks" "no one will remember you after next week"

There is no way they would take the cup from Italy. They would have some pissed of Italians to deal with.

They need to take the golden ball away from zidane. No one that acts that way should get recognition like the golden ball.

The reports from the British media say that he called zidane "son of a terrorist whore" after pinching his nipples, and the Brazilian O'Globe said that he told zidane your sister is a prostitute and you are a dirty terrorist, so you get the picture, take into account that Zidane's family is Muslim. Fair play anyone??? FIFA???so mucch for their little readin against racism before the games. Also I heard that MAterazzi's dad is a facist

I dont think that is likely to happen..but you guys should be fair, I read alot of responses about zidane headbutt...all of these responses are as racist as materazzi himeself. do you guys think that zidane will just out of the blow headbutt materzzi without any reason...that italian racist should've said something serious..very serious for zidane to react this way. materazzi should be held accountable for what he did if there is still any fairness in this world.
zidane said he is gonna reveal what materazzi said to him in the coming days.

It's not a joke, this is the truth.

Because of zidane background 9he was born in France and son of Algerian emigrant couple, he called him " you son of a muslim bich, you all are terrorists"

There are two big insults in the medeterranean area, wether in southern france, italy, Greece, Tunisia.... is when you tell someone your sister is a whore or son of a bich, not any bich but muslim terrorist bich. That's wrong! But Zidane grew up in the streets of Marseille and learned how to play soccer on the side walk, he knew exactly how to take care of a cheap italian.

I bet thatz from the media...
nobody knows what he said to Zidane that got him all furious to commit that headbutt.. the media is biased.. maybe Materazii was defending too much and Zidane got mad because he has no chance to pass the ball to Thierry Henry.. Most of his attack was blocked by Buffon and he was mad in the first half of the game already.
