I never felt worried while disclosing my e-mail id to anybody on web, thing is i never disclose my very personal id to anybody but had created several mail-ids for several purpose

So I think asking anybodys email Id should not be an issue, but only thing the respondent should get back to you,

Just imagine, you will not disclose your Id or will not open unknown persons mails or wont disclose your id to unknown the same way other one on the side will react.

It's probably okay, as long as it's not some sort of argument. That's what I always get involved in.
