Could be a few reasons.
A. Get rid of the mirrors in your bedroom.
B. You married a Walrus
C. Too many burritos with hot sauce for dinner
D. The Walrus told you, " you ask too many meaningless, stupid questions."
E. All of the above.
P.S. This has to be the best answer - come on give me the 10 points for having a sense of humor.
Have a great day, I'm sure you'll have many great days - life is relative. If you have no bad days, you can't compare them to the good ones. Wipe the tears away and have a beautiful day - you only live once - make the best of it.

One of the hallmarks of depression is changed sleep patterns. If you routinely experience these depressed states when waking up, the risk is that it may develop as a learned behavior. Waking up will be a conditioned stimuli, and the counter it, the conditioned responses is to stay in bed so as to avoid having that response occur. Over time the most that this occurs, the more incapacitating it will be.
It may be drastic, but therapy would be a good idea, with a therapist who is well versed in cognitive behavioral therapy, so as to not only address the cognitions (thoughts) that are causing you distress, but also so as to teach you ways to deal with them.

Your body is producing too much estrogen (female hormone). This can happen even if you are a guy, because I used to do the same thing and that's what the doctor told me. It's making you depressed. It should go away, if not, seek help.
Either that or you finally realized your life sucks :D. I've been there too.

It could because you are depressed. If this has been going on for a while, you may want to consider seeing someone for this problem. You need to as yourself, if you are having problems sleeping, if you have lost interest in what you liked doing, do you have feelings of guilt, loss of energy, loss of concentration, appetite is not the same. If you do have these, then you should definitely see someone.

You are just tired. I cry in the morning too and have no idea why, but I can't stop it. I think it is the body's way of saying you are supposed to still be sleeping.

Dread of the day ahead. It sounds like you are anxious and possibly depressed. I hope you feel better soon, and if not, get some professional help--go to a doctor or therapist.

when i read in the morning i cry--not bcuz of the book
it's because my eyes are dry from staring at tannish pages for hours so maybe your eyes just get dried out in the night or are adjusting to the light so you body cries to get them moisturized.
