We all move at the speed of light in the dimension of time. Whenever we move in any other dimension we diminish the speed of time. This is why time is relative. Since we all move at different speeds in space, we all have our own clocks. If we ever reached the speed of light in a spacial dimension, the speed of time would then be of zero.

Actually, our universe may not be moving at all. There is not proof, and no real theory that this is occuring, only our perception, which could all be an illusion... which is a result of the most effecient way of percieving reality.

BUT, to answer your question, every particle in the universe is moving at the speed of light.

The trick is that speed is shared among several dimensions. For instance, we percieve at least 4 of those dimensions. We are not travelling at the speed of light in any one dimension, but rather X km/hr up, Y km/hr to the right, and Z km/hr away in the third dimension. Assuming that those are the only dimensions (which they're probably not) neither X, Y nor Z is the speed of light ( c ), but when you add them all together you would get the speed of light.

So, if we are moving through many dimensions, and time is one of them, our speed is split between all of the dimensions, but added together we would be travelling as fast as a photon does in ONE dimension. That is why when you approach the speed of light ( you shed your speed from OTHER dimensions and focus it into one ) you begin to distort, because to move at the speed of light you can ONLY move in ONE dimension.

This is much easier to explain with a diagragm, but I hope that helps.

All the dimensions are not yet known. Calculation shows there are about 8 dimension. So the fact that wether the universe is moving or not and the speed is cannot yet be answered.

"Speed (symbol: v) is the rate of motion, or equivalently the rate of change of position, expressed as distance d moved per unit of time t." Therefore, 'the speed' remains constant to our perception, since distance is still dependant on 'd,' which is a factor of our 'three dimensional' perceptions relative to time 't.'

Also, a correction; time is A fourth dimension. There are likely even more dimensions, the impact upon our universe we can only begin to theorize.

There is no possible way to judge the speed of the universe, because there is nothing that is not moving to base calculations on. We can only find the speed of things based on the speed of other things that we use as comparison. All distances and speeds are approximations. Some are better than others, depending on how far out in space the object that we are trying to calculate the speed of is.

The universe is moving at a constant velocity in all directions - like an expanding sphere. The energy from the Big Bang imparted to matter and that is the source of the motion.

Just because you are going in only one direction, doesn't mean the whole universe is going in that direction.. Some of us may be going backward. or sideways. or up. God, the Lord of Time and Eternity is capable of going in every direction thru time as often as He pleases, so that He may spend every second of my life with me and have plenty of time left over to spend as much as he wants with you, too..

I don't know but I'm sure after a long time the universe will collapse to its self and imploded as the vacuum it created will swallow the whole system, and great black hole will reign!!!
