HORROR MOVIES - Great "shadow" killer type movies such as "Friday the 13th", "Halloween", "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" and my personal fav "Nightmare on Elm Street." More demon/hell type horror movies would be "The Omen", "The Exorcist", "The Exorcism of Emily Rose", "The Amityville Horror" and "Rosemary's Baby". You could also check out some classics, such as "Psycho", "The Fly", "The Birds", and "House of Wax". Or some newer fun/scary movies such as "I Know What You Did Last Summer", "Scream", "Final Destination", and "Resident Evil". If you would like to go by great horror movie directors I would check out Wes Craven, John Carpenter, Alfred Hitchcock, and M Night Shamaylan. They can all be loads of fun. COMEDY - Kevin Smith is my personal fav. His flicks are "Clerks", "Mallrats", "Chasing Amy", "Dogma", and "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back". Saturday Night Live movies are really funny too such as "Waynes World", "Waynes World 2", "Airheads", "Mean Girls", "Coneheads", "Black Sheep", and "Tommy Boy", . Happy Madison movies are great "Happy Gilmore", "Billy Madison", "Mr. Deeds", "Joe Dirt", "Duece Bigalow", "Little Nicky", "The Hot Chick", and "50 First Dates". Also you have the Frat Pack movies such as "Zoolander", "Wedding Crashers", "Anchorman", "Old School", "Starsky & Hutch", and "Dodgeball".
ACTION - I like the Sylvester Stallone type movies "Rocky I, II, III, IV, & V", "Rambo I,II, & III". "Fightclub is a good action movie. So is "Twister", "The Day After Tomorrow". Of course the mother of all action movies is "Termanator 2". Go with anything that has Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jackie Chan, and Jean Claude Van Damme. I don't know that much about action. Sorry!

I would have to say Action Comedy Horror Movies these days that are just comedy try to hard and just become blah. Horror movies, I agree with you. They are all the same to me and most are very unoriginal. Action movies however are always great and get my adrenaline going. It might be because I'm a guy though.

If you want to see a new movie, then go check out POTC 2: Dead Man's Chest.
It's the best new comedy/action movie out.
But its ending is a cliffhanger which starts the third part of the trilogy.
Click is also pretty good.
For action, go for Superman Returns, or,
if nothing else suits your fancy, the new Jack Black movie- Nacho Libre.
Enjoy

Total Recall has all of the elements that you mentioned, its pretty good.
True Lies is another good movie. It has action and comedy, but not much horror
