The vagina maintains its own levels of freshness, from what I remember hearing.

Douche is like one of those things that probably a good number of females do but no one ever admits it to anyone else or talks about it. If you have a gynecologist, I would ask them when next you see them.

Just good hygiene and sexual habits should suffice.

I don't. As I understand it, douching washes out all the good bacteria in your vaginal canal and leaves you prone to infections. Good basic hygiene is enough to take care of most issues. If that wasn't doing it for me, I'd talk to my OB-GYN.

douching can change the natural chemical balance in your vagina which can make things worse (smell, discharge, irritation). If you must try to use products that are natural.

I don't do it because it ruins the natural bacteria and leaves you more prone to infections.

Yes it disrupts your vagina's natural pH balance.

DO NOT DOUCHE! Please... it increases infections and is not ever a good idea. If your vagina is healthy, it will stay "cleaner" than if you douche!

I have been told never to do it. Your vagina naturally cleanses itself. I have never had any problems or complaints!
