I would have to say no, As a gay man when I first started trying to tell people I was gay, it was easier to say I was bi, I personally used it as a stepping stone to my truth. I believe that is where the misconception comes from,being bi seems more acceptable to some than gay. I do know people who are truly comfortable and attracted to both sexes without preferences for either.

As I understand it, being gay means that a person has sexual inclinations towards members of his or her own gender. Bisexuality means a person has sexual inclinations towards both members. I suppose a person could decide to define themselves one way or the other, but I don't think it's quite accurate to say that bisexuals turn gay. Either people in that case were never truly interested in those of the opposite gender, or they simply choose to only show an interest in one gender.

I have been bisexual all my life, I have never been
gay. I think it works different with men though.
Not sure on that one.
