why can't black people just give it a rest about slavery and all that crap. We have all done wrong throughout all human existence. the trick is to just learn from your mistakes and quit living in the past. if you don't like living here in the GREAT U.S.of A. then go back to your original continent and quit your bitching.

see how grateful one can be without the freedom of thinking.

I have no guilty consciense of what happened in the past. I didn't inslave anyone. and neither did you.
Get over it. Gosh.

as for religion, well, thats your own choice, no matter what color you are. Religion is JUST a belief, not a proven fact. So you choose. Me, I choose to live my life being good to myself and all others with whon I come in contact with, including you, and when I die...I'll die knowing that my life was good and thats all that really matters.

any more.....

Everyone is saying we should all just get along. And thats true. But the fact is racism still exists today. We can't just forget about it. Everybody saying what about the other races; well they need to read about what we had to do to overcome. Ain't nobody came to rescue us. We had to fight. We was promised 40 acres and a mule and we never recieved it. We are always getting the end of the stick. The thing is, black people are champions; we are achievers. We are the race that was stolen from our homeland, slaved and discriminated against. But through it all look what we've accomplished today. And society knows that black people can do much better. But we as people buy into things because we don't understand that tomorrow it can go back to the way it was .White people are under cover with their racism and stereotypes. They would rather grab a hold of the negative of a race to prove that they are still in charge. Thats why they don't point out the good. I don't give a damn what nobody says; some white people are in denial and black people to. White officials call an educated black male a threat to society. Education is amunition and unity is survival in this world. I'm gone tell you like this I don't like white people but I tolerate them. There are some good and some bad white people just like blacks, some good and some bad. But with white people you have to beware. Cause segregation just started 40 something years ago. Thats not even enough time for one generation to grow. And your right most white people are like since I know some nice black people then I'm not racists or they think that that was a long time ago and people should just get over it.

Please don't prejudge (prejudice) me,as a white person, who feels everyone is messed up but me. Prejudice is prejudice whether it's white people who do it or black people. It's not the color that's bad, it's the prejudice.

As for insight, according to Baha'u'llah and the Baha'i Teachings, white people aren't the race that was given the gift of insight. The black race was given that gift. He says that the black race is like the pupil of the eye of humanity. That the pupil of the eye is what gives us sight; and that the black race was given, by God, the gift of insight.

That doesn't mean that we don't all have it to greater or lesser degrees; but, that as a whole, the black race has been more blessed with it. He says the lighter races have been blessed with the colder qualities, and the darker races with the warmer qualities. We, white people, seem to be able to oranize anything from a picnic to a war in five minutes. That's a cold quality. Punctuality is another cold quality. That doesn't mean that darker people don't also have those qualities. But the warmer qualities more often possessed by the darker races are those such as generosity, kindness, compassion--the warmer qualities. Only when the races come together and intermarry will the new race of man emerge with the best qualities of all the races. It's like men have certain qualities different from women's qualities. That doesn't mean that the qualities don't overlap into each of the sexes. Men are more logical; women, more intuitive. But, men can also be intuitive, and women can also be logical. But when they come together to share their good qualities, a whole new life is the result.

I'm sorry you haven't met white people who understand about slavery, etc. Then, it's obvious you've never met a Baha'i.

If you'll look into my source, perhaps you'll find "the spiritual life answer".

Love you, li'l sister. God bless you.

I understand why you asked the question, and it is fine, the only thing is that just how Black people may be different because of different upbringing, education, continent and/or country they live in, religion, experiences that formed them in life, the same thing is with whites,or any other race as well. So ,maybe it would not be a bad idea that you rephrase your question a little. I am a white Person from Europe, and the first time I saw any other race, I was 27. Now I am 34, and could only tell you that I have learned that it really takes all kinds to make our planet as beautiful as it is.
Don't be bitter, because you will find loving people in every race and religion, and hating people in every race and religion as well. Usually people that fail in everything they do in life are more likely to hate and blame everyone but them selves. Don't be one of them. My first door neighbor is black and I have them over for dinner very often, and they like me as well. If I ever have a child, I will make sure that it plays with their little son, so I would not raise a handicapped person in my house. People affected by racism are handicapped, and I feel sorry for them.

What kind of people are you talking to? I'm white and I never say anything negative about any other cultures. Maybe you should find a more educated group of people or at least a group that doesn't feel so insecure that they need someone to blame for their problems and insecurities
I certainly would not expect Jesus, Buddha, Yah Weh, or Muhammad to be white.
I do not condone holidays like the U.S. Thanksgiving and have always taught my children the truth about Thanksgiving which is how the "white man" robbed, tricked, and killed almost the entire race of Native Americans b/c they thought them inferior "natives".This destroyed a beautiful way of life along with many species of plant and animal. The white settlers thus began a systematic destruction of what had been a beautiful life for thousands of years.
The abomination of bringing slaves from Africa ended up with one good thing which is the knowledge of plants, medicine, etc. they brought with them.
We are now blessed to share our country with a strong, smart, and faithful people who still carry stories we lost long ago.
Racist people are irrational no matter what their race.
Luckily this slowly changes with each generation. My children are eons away from my great grand parents in how they view the world and ethics in general.
One day we will truly be "One Love"

You already have all the answers, why bug us poor ignorant crackers about it?As long as you are ignorant enough to lump all white people in one catagory, why do you think we should do any different? If we think about meeting our maker,(remember, all atheists are white folks),we worry about our personal relationship with the Maker, not what race we are.And why are we the dominant society throughout the world?I believe the Chinese outnumber us with their one country, and then you add India and Pakistan and the rest of southern asia, and I believe you'll find they have the Dominate Society in the World. While we're talking about generalizations, what the heck is White? We have spent more money and time killing each other than we ever did on a third world country. The Napoleonic Wars,The Civil War,WWI,and WWII,was mostly white men killing white men, okay,we bombed Japan, but Japan massacred a lot of chinese, philipinoes, and assorted other races, besides us.
As for slavery, don't get me started, thats economic, not racial,a lot of cultures had slaves, and europeans were enslaving each other before they discovered africa, and africans were busy taking slaves for the arabs before we came along.Look at the Tutus and the Hutsi, they still can't get along.

I have to ask, do you truly believe what you just wrote? and if you do, how can you accuse anyone else of lacking insight? This is a generalization based on race, not every white person thinks everyone else is "messed up." What are the present day policies that you speak of? Do you really think the media is biased? Do you honestly think that white people feel guilty for being white? Do you think that they should feel guilty? Is it a crime to be born into a specific race? Should black people feel guilty for being born into their specific race? How does any individual contribute to a "dominate society" anyway? Sorry for answering your question with more questions, but I think this needs discussion.

Yeah it amazing alot of the postings here prove the exact point i think you were trying to make.if you read carefully you can actually see some of the mind sets and trick knowledge that was used to support the machine that was slavery & segregation.
it's poetic justice because you have composed a collection of posting of people that have no insight allthough a few do.
but on the other hand to answer you question their not going to have that insight ....that only comes from actually expieriencing
it through the soul of the person or of a people . doesnt benifit them to understand there for they will not look in the same place's
nor with as much determination. But there is a such thing that exist call collective conciouness look how quick they unite in deffense of themselve even with out understanding question. we dont have that.

Because it's easier for some people to say "Well, that was then and this is now, you can't hold that over us anymore." Which, would be true, if they weren't still messing stuff up.
And it's not just white people, it's all people. Everybody is doing their part to make this world a more f*ucked up place than it already is. And nobody is willing to take the blame, just willing to point fingers and others and say it's their fault. We look at the issues we have and are so eager to say who caused them, and why. "Well this happened such-n-such time ago." But that was then, and this is now, what can we do now about our problems? Nobody seems to know the answer to that, instead we look toward others for the answers to our problems because it's easier than to try and solve them on our own. That's my theory, anyway.

As jaded as you are about this issue there is nothing anyone could say to change your mind, not all white people are like this, I've met people of all races who fit this description, your singling out of one race only shows your own racist tendencies. You do realise that all black people are NOT decendant from slaves right? You do realise all white people are not decendant from slave owners right? There's a reason the past is there, to learn from, not to dwell on daily and try to use certain issues as a means of inflicting guilt on an entire race for the actions of a few. It's time to get over it, stop blaming others for a shortcoming in your own life, and grow up. The only reason there is still a certain degree of seperation between the races is because people like you continually dredge up the past and throw it in the faces of people who had nothing to do with it.Or use the past as an excuse for why a certain group of people act, look, dress, etc etc etc. Seriously, let it go, get on with life and try to see the unity instead of the seperation.

Okay- I'm not white and I'm not Black. Sometimes it takes a middle person to see straight.

I agree that in the past-Whites are the prejudice ones. NOW A DAYS- I can honestly say that white people(most whites) are keeping an open mind on racism. Come on- during school- isn't there all sorts of Asian clubs, Christian clubs etc. There is absolutely no "white clubs" because they don't want to offend anyone.

I see a lot of hatred from my own race towards me- because my boyfriend is white. I must say- people shouldn't steriotype because we are all hypocritts.
