As a Christian and a woman I can say that we never want to totally stop abortion.

Any female that has been raped, incested or has health problems that would interfere with pregnancy should be able to have an abortion without a problem. And no pious do-gooder has any right to judge them one way or another.

I checked on the abortion statistics, there is a large number of women who are over 40 that get abortions. There is a reason for this, they are usually finished with childbearing and are in perimenopause thinking they can't get pregnant and do. This pregnancy can be a difficult one because of their age (for them and the baby) plus it is at a time in life that many women do not want to be getting pregnant.

As far as having an effect, what have you done to educate men in general? Women don't get pregnant by themselves you know and I can't tell you how many women every year have abortions because the idiot who fathered the child doesn't want it or has left or some other horrible senario. There are a lot of irresponsible men out there fathering child after child and it's got to stop. So, since you are male, why don't you do something to educate your gender and make them start to act like mature adults with their body parts?

Why do you think abortion should be stopped? It is not something that another person should be deciding for someone else. What works for you may not work for someone else. It is a personnel decision and often done for a lot of different reasons. Seems to me that you have never been in the situation where you might feel the need to do this. It is not always an easy choice to make but sometimes it is a necessary choice.

All that can be done is to enact a constitutional amendment which declares that life is a protectable interest at conception.

This may be difficult, considering the legal concerns of the 50% or more of pregnancies which terminate NATURALLY prior to conception. Are those mothers who miscarry then guilty of murder, or involuntary manslaughter?

Otherwise, women have a constitutionally protected interest in the privacy over their bodies until the fetus achieves viability, at which point the state then has an interest in protecting the "unborn life".

It helps to keep in mind that abortion is a legal issue, not a religious one. If a person has religious or moral problems with abortion as a concept, they shouldn't get one.

Why would you want to stop it? There is nothing wrong with it. If a woman chooses to not have a child it is her right. Who are you to decide that abortion needs to be stopped. It's too bad your mother didn't abort you.

Abortion has been going on since the beginning of recorded history, at least now it's safe and legal... We don't have the "dirty knife in the alley" anymore and women dying horrible deaths because of it. You want to get rid of abortions? Make birth control free for one and build and staff many, many orphanages, all with your tax dollar, which I'm sure you will gladly pay. Oh yea, also with your tax dollar, we can also pay for serving all the abused, unwanted kids that will be born....

There is nothing you can do about abortion. That is because it was invented by God and is used every day in the form of miscarriage. God does not kill an innocent life in miscarriage, he saves the soul and uses it in another life. At least that is what my God does. So there is no need to stop something that is Good and used by God.
The god of the pro life movement brags that he kills fetuses and doctors along with bombing clinics and harassing women. You may want to outlaw the pro life movement.

You can never stop abortion unless you plan on getting rid of all women. You see abortion is a WOMANS CHOICE.

If it were a MAN that was the one that got pregnant there would never be any objection to ABORTION!

Get REAL!

Take in a pregnant teen. Donate to a home for unwed mothers. Encourage couples counselling so women won't feel alone. Start an income based daycare. Write to pharmaceutical companies to develop birth control for men. Foster or adopt a child.

Abortion should never and will not be stopped. Women are people, too, and they have a right to do what they will with their bodies.

I don't think abortion should be stopped. It's a woman's right to choose. Do and live your life the way you feel you need to. Stay true to what you believe. But please remember that other people are entitled to the same thing. Don't try to push your ideas on us and we wont push ours on you. Take care.
