Well as stated, it could be mostly to spice things up. He may have a fantasy involving toys or maybe wants to try something different. Don't look negatively on this attempt. He is not a pervert or weird or trying to suggest he's tired of you, sexually.
The best way to find out why is to ask him. I think he'll be honest with you. You'll get the most honest answer if you ask him in an open, non-guarded way....like your curious.
If your shy or timid about sex and the idea of toys is a little unnerving for you, tell him that. However, I think you should try and keep an open mind about this type of stuff. After all, he is your husband and your partner. Who else can you open up and explore some of these things with? If you keep an open mind, communicate to him your nervousness or apprehensions and that you still want to do things without toys, and proceed at a comfortable pace, I think you can find a happy medium. You never know, you may even enjoy each other more and become even closer for it!

It would depend on the marriage and the people in the marriage. A lot of times it is done to try and give the wife something of a surprise, to change up your sex life.

Obviously depends on the marriage, the wife's wishes, and how comfortable and secure the husband is with his wife and the marriage as a whole.

lol if he's like my husband to give him the break from having sex all the time.. gives him the easy way out to say.. not tonight im tired go get B.O.B lol..and heck as long as he isnt buying a substitute for me for himself heck he can buy me all the toys he wants..lol

like everyone else is saying to spice up your sex life....there is nothing wrong with wanting to try different things everyonce in a while.....from my own experience i love my vibrators and my husband does to and all the other things we have.....but sometimes you have to have a little kinky side to you to be open to new things

because he is probably expanding his fantasies HOME, rather than somewhere else.So , whatever wife should be relieved that this husband is trying somethings with her , not with others.
