This is not a heated argument, simply voice CALM opinions.
I just want to see how much you guys know.
First the Fatah rob the people blind
Now Hamas terrorizes the people
and Israel will not allow "Palestinian" Israeli's to live in Israel with their Israeli spouses.
Hamas kills "Palestinian" Christians, Jews and Muslims and nothing is done about it. The UN expects Israel to coincide with mainly immigrants sent from other Arab nations trying to undermine the Soveriegnty of Israel with insurgency terrorism.
You think I'm biased? You think I'm making these things up?
The news doesn't give you all the details. Western minds don't understand how things work, how people think, or what is going on over in Israel.
Make note, I have many Arab friends, many Muslim friends.
Just because you are a Muslim does not make you a terrorist.
But what is going on over there is terrorism in the first degree.
If you don't believe me, then know someone who lives there currently. I do

I doubt that Canada gets less filtered news than America, just because you get some of the negative truth doesn't mean you arn't filtered. If you think that casualties from Israeli attacks is bad you should go there and hear of the things that the "Palestinian" "government" Hamas does to the "Palestinian" people.

Nods. Much of what you say My dear Nan is true, it is important for each of us to search dilligently for answers in multiple scopes and access. I am very fortunate to have access to some information straight from the Homeland, I also am very blessed with many reasons that make much of my opinions not biased. My blunt love for my brothers may they be Arab or Israeli, Jewish, Muslim or Christian makes my vision alot clearer than many Americans.
Not every Muslim is a terrorist and not every "Palestinian" is a terrorist but not everything that Israel does is always right either even if they many justifiable reasons the end does not always justify the means.
Like separating families.
Dealing with terrorism I believe takes swift and decisive action which Israel has been leanient on though. But Your very right, you must see at least part of both sides to see even slightely clearely. By the way Nan what country(s) is your family from?

U know I was really shocked when I read answers here ..because I discovered that really other nationalities do not know anything about what is happening here ..am Palestinian and I may be bias to my people because that is normal but I don’t wana say who is right or who is wrong .. am writing this to ask other people to search for the truth ..and not to be on the side of any body.. searching for the truth means that u cant take any statement for granted even from ur own government and media.. u have to search for it URSELF and u will be astonished what u will discover ..DO NOT believe anybody ..even me ..
but try to search for authentic sources.. people known for their long history of honesty and balanced attitudes.. if u don’t have other access than media then verify ur sources see all sources not only in ur country but also in arab and Israeli sources and compare stories ..u will learn the game by time .. don’t say I don’t have access.. TODAY the world is a small village and u can access everywhere ..and the evidence that am here talking to u all..
maybe u will say I don’t give a damn .. why bather .. then at least don’t take anybodies side and keep silent because u must know that u didn’t do what it takes to know the TRUTH.. which is a great responsibility..
A final note .. each statement I read here bears a lot of false talks …and that is really a good reason for u to start as a change.

The state of Israel was legally created out of the dismemberment of the Ottoman Empire at the end of World War I. The area was desolate, desert and swamp, with some small towns and a few inhabitants, many of them nomads. The inhabitants considered themselves mostly Syrian. The Balfour Declaration issued by the British, who were given the mandate over the area by the League of Nations. Jews have lived in the country since Biblical times. The Arabs from the surrounding areas were lured to "Palestine" by the industry and prosperity that the Jews brought to the region. Envy, hatred and religious fanaticism turned the Arabs against the Jews. In 1947, under pressure, the British resigned their mandate. The same year, the United Nations mandated partioning of the territory. The Jews, though disappointed, accepted the partition. The Arabs rejected it and launched war against Israel. The armies of five Arab countries invaded. Following the exhortations of the invaders, the Arab residents got out of the way hoping to return after victory was attained. They could then reclaim their property and that of the Jews, all of whom would have been killed or would have fled. Israel won. That and that alone is the source of the Palastinian "refugees". Had the Arabs accepted the UN partition plan, there would now have been a state of "Palestine" for the last 58 years. The might have attained a similar level of prosperity, advancement and development as Israel. 50% of Israel's population now includes refugees from Morocco, Algeria, Iraq and Yemen. All were accepted by Israel with open arms and have become successful members of their society. The Palestinians refused to integrate these refugees into their population and instead confined them to "refugee camps". The ones there are now fourth generation and through no fault of Israel.
I thought I'd shed some light on the history of the region.

There are no simple answers, because the Palestinians have become so radicalized. They have even tried to say that the Jews of the Bible were actually the ancestors of the current Palestinian population.
However, even Israelis will admit that the occupation of the territories was harsh, because of security concerns.
Even unilateral withdrawl by Israel will not solve the problem, as witnessed by the rocket attacks from Gaza. At this point, the Palestinians want the Israelis to walk into the sea and drown themselves.

The Arab muslims calling themselves palestinians do not want Israel to exist, I know that much. The elected a terrorist group to run their government, Hamas, a group that has sworn to drive Israel into the sea.
Israel knows the so called palestinians do not really want peace, they want its destruction. So there will be no peace.

You're right, just as the PLO covenant and the Hamas covenant both say clearly, the goal is the destruction of Israel and the death or subjugation of the Jews.
Anyone with their head screwed on tight can see this clear and obvious truth.

What I know comes from the media.
It is the only source I have. I am not there. If I were to ask someone here what is going on, would I get an UNBIASED and truthful answer?
Do you get that kind of answer from the media?
So....that is all I know: what I read in the newspapers, on the Internet and see on TV. I have to trust the reporters. I have no other choice.

I only know what the American media and government tells me, and so apparently the Isrealis are the good guys.
Of course, I reserve room for my own skepticism, should they be distorting the situation for their own purposes. But I don't see why they'd ever do that...
