Honestly the best way to learn guitar is to find a teacher and do one on one lessons. Trust me I know, that's how I learned! If you learn off the internet you will never really know the right techniques. You need to make the decision and do whatever you feel more comfortable doing. But what ever you do don't learn off that stupid game "guitar hero's". =D good luck!!!!!!!!!

And really, once you learn the basics, just look up any chord chart online and you'll be fine. Guitar is really a very simply instrument to learn. That's why there are so many guitarists out there.
