I've had wonderful success with Ant Stakes (I forget who makes them but that is the name). Whatever room you are having problems in, you put one spike outside on each side of the windows/doors. They last 3 months and you will not see any ants during that time. I love them!

I don't know how to keep them from getting in--it just happens sometimes--but I sure do know how to get rid of them quickly. Buy some Terro. It comes in a small bottle and looks like clear Karo syrup. Put a little bit of it (dime-size) on a piece of waxed paper and place it where they're crawling. They will swarm to it and take some of it back to their ant colony. It will kill them all. It only takes about a day. It has worked every time for us.

umm get those little uncles to bother the ants to keep them from comming in the house

I spray the ants with Simple Green... it drowns them and cleans up their tracks at the same time. I avoid pesticides.

use the white chalk imported from china...i think it's illegal in the USA so you have to search. It's in a small orange and black box with chinese writing on one side and english on the other. I swear it's magic.

put something with a lot of sugar(coke, pepsi, dr. pepper) outside and they will go to that for a while. that will keep them from coming in your house to look for sugar.

try Boric Acid if that dose not work call exterminator!
