Years, I imagine. Maybe never. Can't bring back the lives that have been lost in this stupid war. As for our world alliances, who knows!

Gee, if the Democrats win in November and manage to impeach Bush, that certainly would cause a lot of damage. The way they all walk in lockstep ( or appeared to, under Clinton ), I suppose it could happen. The country would probably be in a real mess for at least two years. The backlash might get so many Republicans elected, it would swing hard the other way, and still be in a mess.

If we're going to work on a fantasy, why not imagine the Democrats electing some worthwhile leaders who could come up with some actual progressive ideas, instead of all the hypocritical mudslinging ? If that happened, all the lazy Republicans would get voted out, and maybe they could elect some serious leaders, too. And then we could get some actual bipartisan cooperation, and quit wasting everybody's time and money.

Here's my prediction. Democrats will lose the Senate and win the House. Bush won't be impeached. The damage won't be raepaired for years to come. No politician, no matter from which party, can repair damage quickly.

Here's where the Bush gang was smart. Way back when B B Brain took office, the first law he got congress to pass was one that said a president's records couldn't be used to prosecute him once he's left office.
The Dems jumped on it because of the stink Ken Starr and 44 million of our dollars cause President Clinton. The Repubs jumped on it because this oil crisis has been being planned since way back when Richard Nixon was president.
If you remember, it was a long time ago, Nixon wouldn't jump in the sack with the Texas Oil Cartel. He had the cajones to freeze their prices. The Texans owned most of the RNC heads (and still do). They set up the Watergate break-ins and put Nixon right in the middle of it. He tried to cover up for his party and they turned on him.
They made it appear that he was the brains behind the break-ins. When in fact it was only a tactic to retaliate against him for stopping the Texas Oil Cartel.
So when Bush leaves office , no one can touch him!

And we all thought he was a dumba$$, shoot he's just a thief!

Well, first of all, Clinton WAS impeached. Second, if Bush was impeached (which they have no real grounds for, just wishful thinking) that would not make Cheney president. Check out the definition of impeach.

Before damage can be repaired. Blame is going to be dished out against whatever party comes to office. If the Democratic control the Executive branch, whatever economical, social and political problems will pour into the next administration.

With President Cheney? I pray every night for King George to be exposed and thrown out. I think I need to add a few more names. Can't you just hear me say "God.. this is gonna take awhile, I've got this list......They're kinda like the terrorists in Iraq, you get rid of one and another steps up to take his place. Ever consider moving to another country? I thought it was funny when Alec Baldwin said he would move to another country. We rode out Katrina at Domino Sugar Refinery in St. Bernard Parish. It's located below the Ninth ward that's always on the news. Middle to upper class area, 80% white. We lived in a 3500 sq ft. two story 3 miles from the refinery. Spent 6 days in our RV on the levee surrounded by water. Bush's response would have been better if I did live in another country. We lost everything because we trusted the government to build levees that wouldn't fail and a waterway behind us had a 30 ft. wave go through our subdivision. 15 ft. of toxic water in my 2 story. During those six days two lessons: the first-the realization that you don't matter. second- I understood for the first time, how and why the Jewish people got on the trains.Watched local officials and firemen declare martial law, steal, loot flooded houses, comandeer our boats and sink them after looting. Like I said, I lived in another country right here. I shudder at the the thought of who will be the next King. The cowboy King has done irrepairable damage. Kinda like Katrina on many levels. Let me start praying........

it will take a few years.

like post Nixon.
Except Cheney is more competent than Ford.

Democrats would try to unite the country but i believe the 30% of people who still support Bush will never recover.

In two years, Clinton did alot of good.

All the damage also means repairing the Supreme court with moderates or centrist vs the extremist Right wingers....
it is gradual but
we can restore honor to our country and get back on track

They won't have any trouble Impeaching him but it will be like the Clinton impeachment costly and won't do a damn thing to help us or hurt "W". It just wastes time and money. Congress could do better by just cutting his hand out of our pockets. I bet they won't.
