Give them lots of water and fertilizer. Also, they enjoy lots of direct sunlight. It is good to place them so that they get at least a few hours of direct sunlight in the afternoon/evening. Make sure to diligently weed around the plants. Check the plants for bugs or parasites. If you see chewed leaves or dark spots, spray for parasites. Also, if possible, allow any spiders that start to live in your plants to stay there. These "tomato spiders", although furry, big and ugly really help to control the pests and are harmless to you.

We have 6 tomato plants in a container garden on our deck and each one has at least 10 tomatoes and many other blossoms on them...I think I'll be canning homemade salsa the rest of the summer. The trick we use is 1/2 strength Miracle Grow every other week and we water the heck out of them twice a day. Good luck!

Same here...I had a farmer told me this been a bad year cause of the weather. My plants not doing very good either. The farmer says that we started out of to much dry weather. It depends on what part of the country you lived in. I live SW Missouri, and we have not hardly have any rain this year for our crops,Our hay is way down this year. But our garden is due to early dryness for our plants.

there are fertilizers that make the plants to yield fruits. maybe you could ask your local store if they have any.

Speaking of fertilizers, they say organic fertilizers are best. One shocking fact i got was about earthworms. Some people are already commercializing worms because they say this is good for gardens. The manure of these worms are great fertilizers. you just feed them old newspapers and they will be happy.
