What do you think about their new jobs program?

Americans with No Disabilities Act.

WASHINGTON , DC (AP) - Congress is considering sweeping legislation, which provides new benefits for many Americans. The Americans With No Abilities Act (AWNAA) is being hailed as a major legislation by advocates of the millions of Americans who lack any real skills or ambition.

"Roughly 50 percent of Americans do not possess the competence and drive necessary to carve out a meaningful role for themselves in society," said Barbara Boxer (D) CA. "We can no longer stand by and allow People of Inability to be ridiculed and passed over. With this legislation, employers will no longer be able to grant special favors to a small group of workers, simply because they do a better job, or have some idea of what they are doing."

The President pointed to the success of the US Postal Service, which has a long-standing policy of providing opportunity without regard to performance. Approximately 74 percent of postal employees lack job skills, making this agency the single largest US employer of Persons of Inability.

Private sector industries with good records of nondiscrimination against the inept include retail sales (72%), the airline industry (68%), and home improvement "warehouse" stores (65%) The DMV also has a great record of hiring Persons of Inability. (63%)

Under the Americans With No Abilities Act, more than 25 million "middle man" positions will be created, with important-sounding titles but little real responsibility, thus providing an illusory sense of purpose and performance.

Mandatory non-performance-based raises and promotions will be given, to guarantee upward mobility for even the most unremarkable employees. The legislation provides substantial tax breaks to corporations which maintain a significant level of Persons of Inability in middle positions, and gives a tax credit to small and medium businesses that agree to hire one clueless worker for every two talented hires.

Finally, the AWNA ACT contains tough new measures to make it more difficult to discriminate against the Non-abled, banning discriminatory interview questions such as "Do you have any goals for the future?" or "Do you have any skills or experience which relate to this job?"

'As a Non-abled person, I can't be expected to keep up with people who have something going for them," said Mary Lou Gertz, who lost her position as a lug-nut twister at the GM plant in Flint, MI due to her lack of notable job skills. "This new law should really help people like me." With the passage of this bill, Gertz and millions of other untalented citizens can finally see a light at the end of the tunnel.

Said Senator Ted Kennedy , (D) MA, "It is our duty as lawmakers to provide each and every American citizen, regardless of his or her adequacy, with some sort of space to take up in this great nation."

Are they all weenies or are you just stereotyping, spreading misinformation like most far right puppets?

I'm a Vet and work with Vets every day. And from my experiences with these Vets through two wars and the re-hab I help them through, I can tell you that there are a lot more Democrats serving and fighting for their country than there are Republicans. And many of these Vets I've talked to lean towards what you might call 'Liberal.' Have you got the guts to call any of these fine, brave Americans cowards to their face? I doubt it.

And as to a profile of most of these so-called 'Liberals': Many own guns. Many hunt. Most want to be rich. Most are Christians.

By the way, I'm not a Liberal. I'm a free-thinking Independent and a member of the NRA.

But I still know a corrupt government when I see one.

Grow up ! You won the elections, have the Senate and House and now own the Supreme Court. If you love war so much sign up and spare this space for a question with merit.
How about defining Family Values?Lots of "new speak" here but where is the substance.

Well... im somewhat in the middle of the ****** right and the weenie left.

2nd amendamant is fine w/ me, oil... please... such a stupid technology... we have e85 and other much more efficient fuel sources, war should be avoided at all costs, but if you can't use words then bring out the guns. Wealth... well... if you have it then you are doing something right.. and religion lets see... to each his own, we should respect others beliefs and not tease them...

Thats my answer in a nut shell.

A lot of them aren't... they just approach those issues from a somewhat different angle, and so end up coming to some different conclusions and answers.

A lot of them think we are goose-stepping, intolerant, narrow-minded a**holes... but we aren't. We just approach those issues from a somewhat different angle, and so end up coming to different conclusions and answers.

But those differences are minor compared to the differences between our (Western) world-views and those of the Islamists who took finally took down the Towers on 9/11. As much as I may want to bslap them sometimes, I (and you) still have a lot more in common with Mikey Moore and Babs and Georgie Clooney than we do with Osama and the (recently deceased, and not missed at all, May his Virgins be Forever Suffering PMS) Al Zarqawi.

Of course, that goes both ways, my liberal friends...

Define Liberal? My husband had a gun in the house and shot himself and I won't allow guns in my house anymore. I believe that we don't all know the truth and the government hides a lot from us, but I was a journalist for many years. I believed in ethical journalism, most editors only care about a good front page headline to sell the paper. So, I fight the good fight. Oh, yeah, I believe in trees, they help us breathe. You better not tear down the 285 acre park I live near, I happen to enjoy breathing clean air. And, I am not a weenie. I could take you down by force or in a word spar! Bring it on!

I'm a well armed liberal. Loves me guns ( with Ahnode as governor, you never know when he's going to turn on us). My company and I sell to oil companies and we rape them on the prices (I'm making money on your high gas prices, Spudley. Wealth speaks for itself, how many overprivleged people you know that are worth the sweat off of your scrotum. Religion's cool, just keep your superstitions away from me and my family.
Nuclear power is great, now if we can only get compitent people to work the plants.
People who resort to name calling the people they don't understand or know..... need help.
Good luck to you, my goose steppin', right column fascist American. Someday (if you can pull your head outta yer a$$) you'll see we ain't too different from you.

I think a better question is why do you get so upset because "liberals" disagree with you? Grow a backbone, and learn to respect the opinions of others.
