how do you get melted wax off a wall?
I tried using a lighter to melt it off but it only made the wall black. (lol)

You might try setting a steam iron to a very low setting and then between the surface of the iron and the wall... place a piece of wax paper so you don't scorch the wall.

Simple. Get an iron and a piece of paper towel. Set the iron on low and when it's warm enough, place the paper towel over the wax and then let the iron sit on it for a couple of minutes. The wax should stick to the paper towel. If it doesn't at first, leave the iron on for a longer period of time. You will probably still have some residue left but it can be removed with warm water and a good household cleaner. I prefer something with trisodium phosphate in it. It's great for removing greasy films from painted surfaces without ruining the paint.

i know when i want to get the wax out of a candle holder i put it in the freezer, works great. i heard that you take some ice cubes and hold it on the wax, then scrape it off, should work.

Goo Gone works very well.

You can try to put an ice cube on it and pick it off when it is hardened. If it has color stain, the Goo Gone should help.

get yourself set up with an ice cube and a thin-bladed something (putty knife?)
freeze the wax so it's brittle, bust it off without gouging up your wall
oh uh maybe spraying it with some butane or something might freeze it too

it won't be easy, but you can get some "Goo Gone" and put it on and wash it off with a sponge or rag.
