Theres a site:

http://www.truehealth.org/break02.html

It tells how eating fish constantly can cure it. I can believe it because no side effects that cause more health problems, It is natural what god made, and it helps with the Brain.

It's like giving the brain a message until it's better. Not just eat it one day but for 4 months.

Do you think keep eating vitamins, fish, or Omega3 that helps with the brain for 4 months could restore the chemicals in the brain.

I believe it can help, and maybe even solve a mild case, but I don't believe it would cure a severe case.

Be careful eating too much fish - most fish is contaminated these days, and eating a lot of it could lead to lead or mercury poisoning. I take fish oil supplements instead.

There could also be an allergic connection. Go to http://soilandhealth.org, Steve Solomon's site and read through the book "How And When To Be your Own Doctor" By Isabell Moser. There's a case in there that talks about a lady who had bipolar symptoms and was cured drastically by an inadvertently long fast. You'll be enlightened. I do support the omega three idea.

If you think it through you'll note that the brain is mostly fat (http://www.truhealth.com/voice_of_choice_0503.htm) . The "fad" low fat diets could be contributing to the increasing of brain symptoms like Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, bipolar, etc. If we're not getting the good fats though diet where would they come from? And also the environmental toxins which are stored in your body's fat. I know it seems simplistic but most things about your body are simple no matter how complex "science" makes it. Do your research and follow your intuition on this because you are the one who will live with you decision.

An MD just goes on with his life even if he messes up yours. Always remember that.

My husband has severe bi-polar among other problems. Alternative medicine has helped greatly. We have used supplements from standard process for brain etc. RNA has helped alot and other supplements that they have such as min tran. Find a chiropractor in your area that sells these and does CRA. The chiropractic also helps by balancing the energy & cirrculation to the brain. Accupuncture has also helped. Be sure to only utilize an accupuncturist that uses traditional chineese medicine...there is a difference in the out come & the treatment. Fish oil should help because the fat works as brain food, however I agree our waters are so polluted that fish itself is probably not the healthiest source. Good luck! I know when my husband follows his supplement protocal things are great, he has a hard time accepting holistic philosophy as he was raised in a family of Dr.s. The prescription medication he takes does not seem to help. But everyone has noticed the change since he started the supplements etc. Standard process is a high quality and organic brand. We have also used aromatherapy and energy techniques. They also help his moods etc. One final thought we have also found a good hypnotherapist. We have used this to help uncover repressed memories/emotions that were burried. Our research on bi-polar found that often times severe abuse occured and the person has not been able to process it or deal with it and this can lead to the mental illness. Having the opportunity to address these issues under hypnosis has helped release in a short time what he had been trying to process for 30 years with therapy & medication. Please make sure you find someone who is licensed and qualified. I truely believe that all things can be healed with the right help & attitude & loving support.

i would say no to the eating fish...i tried that for depression...you just dont get enough omega three from it...but taking high doses of omega 3 yea..it certainly could and does along with other supplements...i have included two links below.. Look at them and give them a good read.

I use the supplements to controll depression and to withdrawl from addictive ssri and ssnri drugs.

I have researched this subject alot trying to find answers for myself. I was put on over 12 different antidpressants, mood stabalizers, and antiphycotic drugs over a 5 year period...with no success...it only caused an addiction to those drugs. These two websites saved my life.

Unfortunately no. Even the causes and underlying chemical reactions of the brain are not fully understood. Bi-polar disorder is incurable but can be controlled with proper medication. Remember when you do feel better, don't stop your medication. It's easy to do.If the side effects of your medication are bothersome , have your doctor make any necessary changes. Good luck. Get better soon.

Nope, I think that a manic person came up with the idea that fish oil should work because it helps with the brain. Please, if you are bipolar, see a psychiatrist.
