Leave mr.control show him you can't be messed with.Disappear for several hours and not tell him where you were bring up if you had a cellphone he could of contacted you.Make him sleep on the couch for a week or two and tell him that untill he gives you your cell back that is his new room.Make sure you lock you're door each night so he can't sneak in and sleep there.

There are two sides to be considered. One is, maybe he was tight in finances and wasn't able to pay the bill. Cell phone bills can be quite high when you do during the daytime. On the other hand, if he is quite well off and did this to punish you, then I think he is a control freak. Maybe you should confront him and ask him the reason. Ask him what he would have done if the same thing happened to his family during this hurricane season.

When I read the first part of your question, I thought, "what an a**hole." But then I read the rest of it. Get a job. Get out of the house and get a job. Then you can help pay bills instead of running them up for him to pay. Had you been a little bit responsible with it, he wouldn't have freaked. Maybe you should think about how you will be feeding and clothing the kids, if you talk too much on the phone.

Does he know it was the only link between your family and you?

Your name is on all of the credit cards, get another one, an expensive one. Or you could buy one of those pay as you go phones.

You need a phone because emergency situations.

Get your own cell phone. Pay your own bill. Become independent. He is controlling and unreasonable if he didn't discuss the situation with you first.

Why don't you get a prepay phone. That way you don't spend more than you can afford. You still have a phone to connect with your family but you won't go overboard yakking too long.
