Can anyone ask a good movie question for once?

Such as "What do you think Andrei Tarkovsky's The Sacrifice is really about?" What do people who've seen the movie think?

I personally loved it. I thought that it was a fascinating and incredibly visually-interesting parable of belief and redemption, and the film's emotional impact is extraordinary, most likely due to Tarkovsky's cancer, and the knowledge that it would soon take his life.

I agree with you that very few if any intelligent film questions are asked, but then again, one must examine the typical Yahoo Answers poster; chances are, it won't be somebody who wants to have to think or watch a profound film, and they generally have little or no knowledge of film history (like the person who claimed that Fellini is an irrelevant filmmaker).

How about this question. Why is it that Movie writers are afraid to kill a hero. isn't heroism defined by martyrdom and living your life by strict ideals and moral values. I think that a man that dies for a just cause is a hero. Not one that cant die because he is the main character.... Sorry I am rambling now but what do you think?

It's a brilliant film, and wish more people see it. I think it creates an apocalyptic world and explores complete self destruction and yet at the same time is not pessimistic.

It was his last film and he knew he was suffering with cancer when he made it.
