Why don't you folks mention your own country name while asking this type of questions about India? Perhaps with your limited version of knowledge, it may not be possible for you to compare; but for sure many of us could do that service for you for your thorough understanding.
For a big majority of you, area-wise even one city in India is much bigger than your whole country. Managing such a vast area with nearly 1 billion population with huge diversity in the largest democracy of the world with all kinds of freedom and protecting every human rights is a daunting task. Yet India is one of the safest places on this planet.
Regarding threat of "road bombs" in your mind, you never know when you can be nuked in your own house by any of the world's self-styled peace Godfathers. Why this unfounded fear?
Nearly 1/6th population of the world is living in India and is prospering very well. Come and see for yourself. But leave your imaginary fears and wrong notions back home, to enjoy fully here in India during your visit.

Terrorism and bomb blasts seem to be happening everywhere these days. India is a vast, multi cultural, multi ethnic country. It has a rich history, culture and people of many linguistic and ethnic background living side by side in (mostly) peace and harmony. Go there and see this fascinating land for yourself. November to February is the best time.

There is nothing to fear in India.
India is far more safer than many other places in the world.
Those bomb blasts are just some minor freak incidents,
Almost every nation has some minor incidents like these.
If you fear for incidents like those, it will be very difficult to live a peaceful life anywehere in the world.

my advice to people who came to india for a visit or any other purpose please make sure that you
have trusted people here in india if not you will end up in a gang rape or something which you dont expect
or even i dont expect
i agree not all indians are bad they were also good people;
i am from india i like all races , most of them were cheaters and liars dont trust them
Finally in my opinion indians are also racists but not everyone they talk vulgarly about skin color
ofcourse you will see racist in every country
my tears about the people were not for people who ended up in racism but for the
people who murdered after stealing all the money yes i am talking true the people here
In india they kill people for 100 rupess to thousand rupees
Be safe dont try india if you have nobody to take care of you;
pls note the bad people from india will do business with girls by selling them at red light areas;
