Yes, I think it sounds fine. It isn't the most modern, but that's okay, most of those new names are kind of annoying.
Kathleen is good because it is flexible. The person can go by Katie, Kat, or Kate. If you're going to insist upon using the formal sounding version all of the time, perhaps try something a bit more youthful sounding.

Yup - I'd call her Katie. I grew up with a lot if Catharines, no Kathleen's though

Personally I don't like it, but older names are coming back. Besides it's not what anyone else thinks if you like it then that's all that matters...I listened to other people and didn't name my daughter my first choice in names and now i regret it

um. its okay. But i wouldnt want to have that name. I would maybe go with something more normal like Allison or something like that. But if you wanna name your kidd that, then thats fine with mee.

no not really but if that's your choice at least pick a different spelling like Cathlene, Kathleyne, Kathlein, Kathleene.
