nope... RAZRs suck... that's the truth. compared to the phone i have now RAZRs are crap no joke. i had a RAZR back when it first came out end of 04 early 05. that was when everybody didn't even have one and everybody would praise me forcing me to let them play with it and such. after less than a month i hated that phone. i had the Cingular one (which had no video recording function only playback). then i switched to the T-Mobile one which has the video recording function a few months after i had it. i hated it once again because it was getting outdated and boring. more people got it. so i finally thought to myself that i should get the newest Sony Ericsson phone... that not a lot of people in the US has. i got the w810i and i am sooo happy with it. let me tell you... it has a 2.0 megapixel camera with autofocus and flash that could be used as a flashlight... memory card slot that could hold up to 4GB and since it's a Walkman phone it has a dedicated music player... bluetooth and infrared port where i can control my PC with it when connected... and all phone functions could be turned off but the music player so i can listen to music on an airplane without interference. Motorola sucks... it's only "modern" to most people in the US... but with people that knows what's up... we get phones from Sony Ericsson and Nokia. my phone's really new but there are even newer/better phones coming out from SE and mines already great! so i recommend you not to get a RAZR unless you have a budget problem. i regret getting a RAZR but at the same time i had lots of fun with people begging me to let them see it... but that's only because i got it when it first came out two yrs ago. if you have one right now... it's just having a normal/outdated phone... it's up to you though

I thought about getting a RAZR too for the longest time..back when they were like $600 XD But when I really needed a new phone about a year ago and was seriously looking, I didn't like the way the RAZR felt in my hand, and the buttons felt too toyish. I ended up getting a Nokia 7370. Best functioning and best looking phone I've ever had. And do you really want a phone that almost EVERYONE has? You don't have to get a "regular" phone. There are so many others to choose from. Go Nokia. ;)

RAZRs are plain now. Everyone has one and they're nothing special. Boring specs, and the design isn't the thinnest anymore.

The LG CU500 is a thin phone that's coming out soon. It's a breath of fresh air after RAZR hype and mass RAZR advertising.

Smartphones in a thin form factor will be the next big thing.

I have had my Razr since December:
I take very good care of it...my list is:
I wear makeup so my oil and makeup made all the glue holding the buttons fall off

My signal used to be great but it drops calls all the time

Sometimes it does not tell me i had a missed call or any voice mail or text messages

I know it is not my carrier...I have Alltel. I regret purchasing mine. I am actually going in tomorrow to get a brand new one, sell it on ebay and go back to my old trusty LG

Don't bother! I had one and bumped it ever so slightly and it no longer works. I know many others who have (or had) the RAZR as well, and had similar problems. Because of the myriad of problems that people of had w/ this particular phone, cellular providers refuse to insure it. Of course they will tell you that they won't insure it because of the high cost, but that's not true. I have bought phones in the past for the same value, and they were always insured.

I do not regret having a RAZR phone. I wanted a slim phone and it is a nice brand and works well.
I thought pink was a bit over the top.........

They are as good as anything really. You cant deny that they do look unique and are different. If you do get one though I would go with either the V3i that plays the i-tunes or the V3m (Verizon) that plays mp3's. My wife has one and she loves it. Now that they have been out for awhile most of the software bugs have been worked out and they are pretty good phones.
