For survival of the species. I'm dazzled not only at the ingenuity of gene-diversification in sexual vs. asexual reproduction (promoting survival of the fittest), but also the thrill involved in the whole courtship rituals involved in selecting suitable candidates & enjoyment of copulation.
However, the evolutionary steps go
Asexual reproduction
Hermaphroditic reproduction
and only later was the concept of non-propagating lifeforms (XY males)
And in the womb we begin as girls, then when the time occurs for the brain testosterone acid bath (Y chromasome kicks in), our physiology differentiates into boy parts. Which is why men have nipples.
So i was actually thinking of your question as "Why god made Boys." to which the answer is "it's a miracle"
Or the phrase "Behind every successful man is a surprised woman"
And they also make great art & photography subjects.

He made women so that there would actually be a little more common sense and rational thinking in the world.

Becuz when u 1st do sumthin,then u try again its an amazingly better job then the 1st. So when god created man he looked at his work & said " I can do better then that" :D.
